Convert a SVG file to EMF
1. Open your .svg file with Inkscape
http://inkscape.org/ (drag & drop or File-> Open).
2. Save your file, choose Enhanced Metafile (.emf*).

3. Open Excel or Power Point. Drag and drop your file on the work plan (or insert->image)
Be careful: Even if you saved an .emf ungrouped image with Inkscape, Power point or Excel import a grouped one. Hence, you can ungroup it with Power point or Excel.
