Good afternoon,

I just installed the BeGraphic Lite version, with a view of possibly purchasing the Pro version, should the product be able to fulfill our requirements.
However, I am struggling to get my head around the functionality even with the provided manuals.
Based on our basic requirement list below, would you be able to provide us with examples of whether your can fulfill the requirements, however, it cannot be via links to YouTube as Standard Bank has blocked access to YouTube and freeware sites (for obvious reasons).

Example of requirement:
Being in South Africa our main risk target is the African continent:
  • Say we have a score out of 5 for every African country we operate in.
  • Now we want to assign a color to each score and then represent this on the Africa map with the country being the color of the score, e.g. Red, Amber, Green.
  • This mapping must be done automatically. The scores will be in a table and the tool must be able to map the scores onto the map assigning each country a different color based on the score in the table.
  • Additionally, would it be possible to segment a country so that each segment has a different color attached to it (again data taken from table)?

I would greatly appreciate your advice on this as soon as possible as it is rather urgent that we get these risk maps finalized soonest.

Kind regards,
Doreen E

How-to-build-such-map:

[1] Install BeGraphic lite + download and unzip the attached file called Africa+SouthAfrica.zip (from this webpage)
in the dedicated sub-folder (usually you will find it under C:\Program Files (x86)\BeGraphic Lite\Content\Maps )

[2] With the "Geo Map" function inside BeGraphic, choose the map you want to insert
(global Africa in one Sheet & Detailed South Africa in another sheet)

[3] build the table with your figure and add a "conditional formatting" to dynamically put the right color for each country

[4] Right-click on each country to automatically link the geo-object and the cell containing the conditional formatting

[5] Push the "Update" button to dynamically put the right color on each country

Note: Inside the BeGraphic ribbon under the help button, you may find an example (map ready-to-be-used).

A quicker and easier geo-mapping function is provided in the "Edition Pro".
But to get this edition in 2012 march, you would have to buy it on the
