I have a spreadsheet with about 20 gauges. I updated previous monthly data (that had no issues) with new data. After I updated the gauges about half of the gauges had the gauge range changed to a percent (100%, 200%, etc) from a number (1, 2, etc). I verified that the data for the gauge range is numerical and even deleted and re-created a gauge to no avail. The alert ranges are still as before (1-2 green, 2-5 red, etc) and the current value is correctly pointing to the right tick mark (although it is in percent). Any thoughts??????

I have more information on the bug;

If you have multiple guages (say # 1 to 10) and you have the scales set to automatic or manual (but not a percentage), and the target (value return) cells are formated for 'number', then everything works as intended.

However, lets say you set gauge # 5 to reference a cell that is formated as a %, as soon as you update animations, all subsequent guages (#6-10) will all switch to a perentage display regardless if they are in automatic or manual mode.

Temporary fix:

You will need to change your formulas and cell formating to have the gauges display correctly.

example;
Before
cell a1 = 50
cell a2 = 100
cell b2 = A1/A2 (formated as percent) = 50%
After
Cell b2 = (A1/A2)*100 (formated as number with 0 decimal places) = 50
and in the guage setup, enable advanced mode, In scale select 'with scale' and in graduation's unit type %

kind of a pain to go through and edit a few hundred formulas and update parameters on 65+ guages but it's the only solution I have found.
