How to use protected sheets with gauges alerts?Microsoft Excel allows you to protect your workbook. There are two solutions:
- by protecting your entire workbook
- by protecting one or several worksheet(s)
Currently, only the
second option may cause trouble with BeGraphic's gauges, especially with
alerts.
If you meet the next message:
Please follow this procedure (after having deprotected your worksheet):If you are using Excel 2007 or 2010:- Go to the 'Review' menu in the Excel ribbon
- Select 'Protect worksheet'

- Check the 'Edit objects' option

- Select each gauge and click on the 'Set parameters' button in the BeGraphic's ribbon and directly click on 'Validate'. This
This action will update the gauge
If you are using Excel 2003:- Go to the 'Tools' menu in the Excel ribbon, then 'Protection' and finally 'Protect Sheet'

- Check the 'Edit objects' option.

- Select each gauge, then right click and 'Set parameters'. Directly click on 'Validate All'.
This action will update the gauge
